I made it....
This was another one of those... "got to finish in an hour" project. I wanted to add a little something special to a little man's b'day kit. So here goes.
I made the flower a couple of days ago... just a little experiment. It fit right into this photoframe. It is actually an IKEA photo frame. I removed the fibre glass inside the frame and place it on outside to create a little box frame effect. I used a very pretty scented card stock (blue) to cover it up with just a hint of original blue along the edges. I placed the quilling on top of it.
For the inside, I have used a patterned pink card stock and punched butterflies and pearls for the 3D effect.
I made the frog after looking at some designs. This guy is flat enough to go on a frame but very sturdy.and will not come undone.
The matching gift tag is made using the same card stock. Yup... I like it. very very much. Some how looking at it makes me happy :-P. I hope it makes little Edwin smile. I do hope it makes you happy too.
You know what... I am going to enter this frame in Word Art Wednesday and spread some joy :-P.

Bunch of roses
I made the roses!! Aren't they pretty :-P... a few of them do look more like flying saucers than like roses. I believe that this time when we go home for vacations, I will be making lots and lots of flowers.

Scripture Card Bunch in goody box
I began making this box for a purpose but then I suddenly was reminded of a lady and decided to gift this to her
I put in some handmade butterflies, gift tags, and fridge magnets. All handmade.
This is the ABC scripture card. I downloaded the free printable scriptures and then mounted them on to card stock. And I made this really pretty cover.
All the flowers are handmade. I have just discovered how to make roses from simple punch flowers.
Here is how it looks on the inside. I have left the left side clear to allow the kids to write something on it.

A project I wanted to finish TODAY
I haven't been crafting a lot this week. But I soooo wanted to make a scripture card. I wanted to make one yesterday but couldn't get doing it. So here goes and somehow I didn't want to extend the work into tomorrow. I have a feeling our Lord has something else planned for me tomorrow. So here is the card. All the flowers are hand made. Sarah ... you have to bear with my hand writing.

A greeting card for kids
I saw the colour scheme for this card when I was praying. Green and purple. Not a combination of colours I would normally go to. But here we are and though I feel like putting on some more details, I think it is prudent to stop where it is. I made a matching box which protects all the quilling. Some little girl is going to be very happy :-P

Purple greeting card
Generally I make stuff with images that God puts in my head. While this is also one such inspirations, this is the first time I looked at something and fixed my colour scheme based on it. I got the colour scheme for this from the Itsy Bitsy "All-that-glitters" challenge inspiration. It is a very amazing and rich combination. Purple and gold. I live outside India and had some real trouble getting art supplies especially quilling stuff, till I heard about Itsy bitsy. Now I order whenever one of our friends go to bangalore and they pick it up when they come. I am one happy crafter!
Getting back to the card... I have not added any sentiments to this card because I decided I will add it when I actually decide where it will go. So here is the card, sans sentiments.

Here is a close up of one of the flowers I made for this card.
Here is a closer look at the details. I have added swirls, some buds and some gold coloured flowers. I have edged the sentiment area with a quilling technique.
Here is what the inside looks like.
I have used paper punches on this page
Here I have used the same quilling strips as outside and have used glitter pens for the details.
I have not used a folded card but have used the satin ribbon to bring cards together. They are tied like a shoe lace, so they stay in place
Here is the box cover I made for it. I made it a box cover to keep the quilling safe.
I made the little embellishment on top and added the purple strips to add feature
